Huakai NonwovenYangzhou Huakai Nonwoven Machinery Co., Ltd.
Huakai builds the carding section for needle-punched nonwoven lines — single-cylinder twin-doffer and twin-cylinder twin-doffer machines that turn blended fibre into a uniform web before cross lapping. Working widths from 2,000 to 3,000 mm, 1300 mm cylinder, 4-roller feed accurate to 0.03 mm. Supplied as a standalone machine or as part of a complete turnkey line.
Which series fits your line depends on the web quality and output you need. Single-cylinder twin-doffer machines suit geotextile, filtration and felt lines; twin-cylinder twin-doffer machines deliver higher carding capacity for heavier substrate lines such as PU leather base and automotive carpet base.
The standard carding section for geotextile, filtration and lighter felt production lines. One main cylinder with two doffers produces a regular single web at lower power draw, and is the right choice where the downstream needle loom runs moderate fabric weights.
| Specification | CYLSL/I-2500 |
|---|---|
| Working width | 2,500 mm |
| Cylinder diameter | φ1300 mm |
| Doffer diameter | φ495 mm (two doffers) |
| Output at 2,500 mm | 80–220 kg/h |
| Web weight from card | 20–180 gsm |
| Web output speed | 5–35 m/min |
| Feed system | 4-roller feed, tolerance within 0.03 mm |
| Power | 21.75 kW |
| Fibres processed | PET, PP and natural fibres |
Output varies with fibre type, staple length and web weight — light webs sit at the lower end of the range, heavy webs at the upper end.

Two carding cylinders in series with two doffers. The second cylinder re-opens and re-orients the web, which gives stronger fibre individualisation and better stability at heavier fabric weights. This is the carding section Huakai supplies on PU leather substrate, automotive carpet base and heavy felt lines.

Cylinder speed is set to the fibre: short staple runs faster, long staple slower, which protects the card clothing. The higher output ceiling and wider web weight range are what make the twin-cylinder machine suitable for needle-punched geotextile, hot-air bonded wadding and heavy technical felt, where a single cylinder runs out of carding capacity.
| Type | Widths |
|---|---|
| Standard stock widths | 1,600 / 1,800 / 2,000 / 2,500 / 3,000 mm |
| Custom widths available | 1,550 / 2,300 / 3,200 mm |
| Maximum width | up to 3,600 mm |
Standard widths are held as stock specifications with shorter lead times. Custom and oversize widths are built to order, which extends both delivery time and price. If you are sizing a new line, the carding width must match the cross lapper and the finished fabric width — tell us the finished width and we will confirm the carding and lapping combination.
The carding machine sits between the blending section and the cross lapper. Bale opener, willowing machine and blending hopper deliver a evenly mixed fibre mat; the carder individualises the fibres and lays them into a single uniform web; the cross lapper then folds that web to build the required weight before needle punching.
Web regularity established at the card sets the ceiling for everything downstream — a carder that delivers an uneven web cannot be corrected later by needling. This is why Huakai machines use a 4-roller feed with a 0.03 mm tolerance and a large 1300 mm cylinder: both directly affect how evenly the fibre is opened and transferred.
| Production line | Carding model used | Typical fabric weight |

Single-cylinder (CYLSL/I) suits geotextile, filtration and lighter felt lines: 80–220 kg/h at 2,500 mm, web weight 20–180 gsm, web speed 5–35 m/min. Twin-cylinder twin-doffer (CYLSL/II) is the choice when you need more carding capacity or heavier web: 60–400 kg/h with a recommended stable band of 100–320 kg/h, web weight 15–250 gsm, web speed 20–65 m/min. If your target fabric weight sits above roughly 200 gsm at the card, or your required output is above 220 kg/h, specify the twin-cylinder machine.
Standard stock widths are 1,600, 1,800, 2,000, 2,500 and 3,000 mm; custom widths of 1,550, 2,300 and 3,200 mm are available, and the maximum is 3,600 mm. Custom and oversize widths extend lead time and price. The carding width must match the cross lapper and the finished fabric width of the line: as a reference, the LYBG101-480 geotextile line uses a 2,500 mm carder feeding a 4,800 mm lapper to produce 4,600 mm finished fabric, while the LYBG103-400 PU base line uses a 2,500 mm carder with a 4,000 mm lapper for 3,600 mm finished width.
PET, PP and natural fibres are the standard range, with the wider line configurations also handling PE, aramid and polyamide. Fibre denier typically falls between 1.5 and 10 mm staple length depending on the application. Tell us the fibre type and denier at enquiry stage and we will confirm the card clothing specification.
Yes. Carding machines are supplied as standalone machines or as the carding section of a complete turnkey line. We also supply the upstream bale opener, willowing machine and blending hopper, and the downstream cross lapper, needle loom, calender and cutting & winding machines, so a single supplier can cover the whole line.
Yangzhou Huakai Nonwoven Machinery Co., Ltd. has designed and built nonwoven machinery in Yizheng, Jiangsu, China since 2008. The company holds more than 40 national patents, is a National High-Tech Enterprise and a member of the China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA). Carding machines are built alongside needle looms, cross lappers and complete lines under one roof, which means the carding section is matched to the lapper and needle loom it will actually run with rather than specified in isolation.
Markets served: India, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Qatar, Egypt and other markets in the world.
